The main purpose of a research study is to develop an understanding of the unknown and to enhance knowledge. Considering that fact the most important part of a research report is the methodology chapter.
The methodology section covers the actual investigative process of the research study which begins from developing the hypothesis or the research question and ends with researching the final decisions on the subject.
Most students are unable to conduct their research processes properly which results in poor grades because they do not follow the important steps that are involved in the research process.
This is the beginning of the investigative process which will define your entire research study. It would not be an exaggeration to call it the road map for the entire report. After the topic of the study has been finalized it is important to develop a hypothesis or the research question as the theme of research is usually a broad subject and it is important to narrow it down so that proper investigation can be conducted.
After the research question has been developed, the next step for the methodology chapter dissertation is to develop the research plan. Here, you will decide how you want to collect the data, how you will be analyzing it and how it will be interpreted.
Next is the step for the actual collection of the data for your research. This is where you will determine the sample size that will justify the entire population that you are about to study. You will also decide on the area where the data is available. There are several methods to collect data i.e. through surveys, questionnaires, observations, etc.
Now that you have gathered the information, you will insert the same into statistical software for analysis. It is important to choose a statistical tool according to your research analysis as it will reflect on your result.
This is the part where you will explain the outcomes of your study with reference to your research question or hypothesis. Here, make sure that you interpret the findings in concise and clear words and take aid from tables and graphs for easy understating for the reviewers.
Here, you will give an explanation of whether your hypothesis is accepted or rejected with explanations for the same. If the hypothesis is rejected, then it means that the research contained some flaws that were overlooked.
0.5: Last but not least comes the recommendations of the research report. This is a platform to analyze the limitations that you have faced in the research and how future research can help you gain more specific results.
