4 STAGES OF DISSERTATION REPORT PRODUCTION:

Because Report writing for a dissertation conveys information, so it would be helpfulto organized logically around the information gathering stage.

The sources you use for dissertation report writing will be determined by the help of aims and scope of your report. You may gather primary Data, i.e. interviews or experiments. Or some secondary data, i.e. Information produced by some one before for some other purpose, for example, books, journals, newspapers, and other reports. Ensure that the information you use is relevant and that you always reference its source.

  1. Stage one: Framing the issues and planning

choosing a topic, forming and writing the question with the help of those topics, setting out the aims, objectives and time table for the project.

  1. Stage two: Information gathering for dissertation report(Researching the Project Date)

This stage includes devising techniques to record data, especially primary data, choosing the method for collecting data and carrying out the collection within the timetable you decided for your dissertation report writing .

  1. Stage three: Analyzing the information for dissertation report.

Coding Data
Coding data for dissertation report writing means conversion of raw data into clearly and unambiguously written standardized symbols to help further analysis.

You have to define the coding units and create a coding frame. The difficulty to do this largely depend on the kind of data your research has produced.

At the other extreme the data may be very raw - a pile of photographs, tape recordings, unstructured handwritten notes from interviews or fieldwork diaries. Data like this will need a lot of work doing on it before it can be analyzed.

Analyzing Data
You can not include all the data and raw data in your dissertation report and all this data is not useful for you. For the data to become useful you will need to analyze it with help of some methods like summarizing into Descriptive statistics or using it to test your research hypothesis i.e. inferential statistics.
If your data is entirely qualitative (words, images, etc) it will be necessary to select examples for each category used in the coding and quote these. Usually, however, some frequency counts are also possible so that you can make summarizing statements like "fifty eight per cent of the women sampled"; out of forty nine passages expressing grief, only two.

  1. Stage four: Writing the Report
Final stage of carrying out a dissertation report is to Share your results. Writing a report on the research is the usual way that one does this.
DISSERTATION REPORT FORMAT:
Paper, Font Size and Style:
